No invented statistics.
If we cite a number, we link to where it came from or label it as our own internal data. No “studies show” with no study.
Named writers, direct experience, last-reviewed dates. How our guides get written, sourced and reviewed; the policy in plain language.
What the Irish lifestyle scene actually looks like; not a content-mill summary of it.
Our guides exist to be the plain-language reference on the Irish lifestyle scene that we wish had existed when we started. They’re written from direct experience by a named writer, read by at least one other moderator before publication, and re-reviewed at least once a year. On legal grey areas; dogging, public-order acts; we state the law as it is, say what happens in practice, and let readers make their own call. We’re not legal advisors and our guides aren’t legal advice.
The four practices that drive AI-summarised lifestyle content. We don’t use any of them.
If we cite a number, we link to where it came from or label it as our own internal data. No “studies show” with no study.
“A member told us…” is the cheapest filler in adult content. We either name the source with permission, use a clearly-labelled composite, or skip it.
“10 Best Swingers Clubs in Ireland” doesn’t help anyone. Our clubs page names what’s out there honestly; no fake league tables.
Every guide is written from scratch by a named writer. We don’t license syndicated lifestyle content and pass it off as our own.
Three steps every cornerstone guide goes through before it goes live and stays live.
If we haven’t been to it, talked to people who go, or observed it ourselves, we don’t claim to know it. The Cork scene gets written by people who’ve been to Cork meets; same for Galway, Dublin and the rest.
Every guide is read by at least one other moderator before publication. Factual claims are checked, copy is edited for plain language, and anything that sounds lifted from a content mill gets rewritten.
Every guide carries the date it was last reviewed. We re-review at least once a year, or sooner when something material changes; a club closes, a law updates, a member flags an inaccuracy.
If a guide is out of date or wrong, we want to know. Contact support with the URL and what’s off. Material corrections are acknowledged at the top of the affected page; minor edits get the last-reviewed date bumped.
Where a guide draws on conversations with members, the members are anonymised. Names, ages and identifying details are changed or composited. The composite vignettes in our stories page are clearly labelled. We don’t out anyone, ever.
For editorial questions, story tips, corrections or suggestions: contact support. Claire Reid reads everything that comes through editorial, even if not every message gets a reply.
